ABOUT US
Not so long ago (and it seems to us that it was…), in 2015, four young, intelligent, and ambitious friends embarked on an adventure – a search for a creative job that would allow them to have fun, work with positive people and have a good vibe. That’s how Escapeart was born in 2016 and joined the Zagreb room escape scene, which at the time had only a few companies and struggled to bring this ingenious new way of entertainment to the general public.
The name Escape-art, i.e. “the art of escape”, best describes the essence of this, then quite unknown, but now extremely popular entertainment.
The first two adventures, Robin Hood and Dracula’s Chambers were built with great care, a lot of detail, and in the desire to make the players feel as if they were “teleported” to another world or at least as if they were on a top movie set.
In the meantime, Escapeart changed owners, but also got a new outfit. We stayed with the theme of dark ancient times, but we spiced up our adventures with magic…. we made a new Magical Library room and (from what we heard from our players), did a great job.
Now “escape art” means not only the art of playing, i.e. escaping from a room, but also the art of creating new adventures, because the way we create new rooms is art for us, and everything we make is handmade.
The main driving force in our business is an excellent love for puzzles, but also for people – our players, to whom we give laughter, fun, and the opportunity to forget their worries and problems, even for a short time, and become someone else – dangerous villains or superheroes. We are great enthusiasts and after over 150 games played (both in Croatia and all over Europe) we are still trying to come up with something new, never seen before, original and exciting.
We are the only one in Croatia to have a mobile room escape “Casino robbery”, which we have designed for large groups and corporate events and which can be played by as many as 80 players.
In addition to creators and game masters, we are often actors and animators at the same time, so it is for this reason that we say that we have the best job in the world…imaginative and extremely fun. We work with wonderful clients, i.e. players, but also with wonderful colleagues, which we are especially proud of. We often do joint events and projects, test puzzles, and jointly figure out how to improve old games and create unforgettable new games.
We are overjoyed because our most difficult and complex room “Magic Library” was again nominated as one of the best rooms in the world in 2023!
As part of the international project TERPECA (Top Escape Rooms Project Enthusiasts’ Choice Award), the most experienced game enthusiasts nominated outstanding adventures and companies from all over the world and thus compiled a list of the best in the international escape room industry.
We are extremely proud that our “Magic Library” was also placed on the list of the best and was decorated with this most prestigious and important award in the escape room world.
The beauty of room escape is definitely that each theme offers a new experience, a new atmosphere, and a new experience, and we at Escapeart are equally excited before the start of each game and look forward to the end of each game because we know that you will leave our rooms delighted and happy 🙂
